When installing Milton traditional manholes, a compound rubber and bitumen joint sealing strip is used to provide a permanent flexible watertight seal, along with a primer. This can be used on precast concrete box culverts, manholes, inspection chambers, shafts, tunnels and some pipe sections.  Please note that sealant is not required on sealed manholes.
